Enics Eesti AS has received bronze level in Estonian Sustainable Business Index. Estonian Sustainable Business Index evaluated companies’ strategic and main business’ approach to sustainable business activity and the company’s leadership of social and environmental impact.
“I am proud to say that Enics operates in a way where our activities are in accordance with environment; both social and nature. Also the activities that brought us this recognition have been rather voluntary and not set by legal regulations. Enics practices open and transparent business that is based on ethical values and respect towards our employees, community, and the environment”, states Eveli Punnison, Human Resources Manager, Enics Eesti.
Kaie Kasemets-Remmel, HR specialist and responsible for the sustainable business index questionnaire added: “I believe that Enics Group-wide principles, e.g. United Nations Global Compact and Enics Code of Conduct, as well as our own initiative to contribute to the wellbeing of our employees and the community played a role in receiving this Bronze level recognition.”
Altogether 77 companies evaluated their businesses from the point of view of sustainability. The following aspects were analyzed: environmental activities, taking into consideration the local community and involvement of different parties, contribution to the development of the society, transparency and the ethics of the activities, contribution to the employees’ health and development, and consideration of people’s private life and their differences.
